Lannie Rae Gourmet Inc, the brand, was born in 2010 upon the sale of our bakery in Banff and a move a tiny bit eastward to Cochrane.
During our bakery days, we endured the 2008 recession just after we finished buiding our downtown Banff retail location. In an effort to fill our shoppe with shelf stable products to keep the cash flow going, we took many of our products such as cakes, cookies, scones, brownies, frosting and so many others formatted them into DIY products. The pancake and waffle mixes eventually became a part of the product line. DIY baking and decorating kits became our passion.
Our original pancake and waffle flavours were "reborn" from an old recipe that has served our family for many years and in 2008 we took that recipe and kicked it up a notch...or ten!
